What is a minibieb?
A minibieb (short for "minibibliotheek") is a small, publicly accessible bookcase where anyone can take a book for free or leave one for others. Most are looked after by a neighbor who keeps the shelves tidy and the door closed against the rain. Minibieb is our name for all of them. In France you will mostly hear boîte à livres or microbibliothèque. You may also hear street library, book exchange box, public bookcase, Bücherschrank, straatbieb or Little Free Library®.
