Una minibieb (“minibiblioteca” en neerlandès) és una biblioteca lliure: un petit armari de llibres d’accés públic on tothom pot agafar un llibre de franc o deixar-ne un per a altres persones. De la majoria se n’ocupa algú del barri, que manté els prestatges endreçats i la porta tancada perquè no hi entri la pluja. Minibieb és el nom que fem servir per a totes. Al Regne Unit se’n diu sobretot street library o book swap box, tot i que també sentiràs book exchange box, public bookcase, boîte à livres, Bücherschrank, straatbieb o Little Free Library®.
